The Most Curious About Hair Transplant 2

We continue our most frequently asked questions about hair transplantation. In this article, we will answer the questions of what is female hair transplantation, what is unshaven hair transplantation and how long does it take to grow hair after hair transplantation.

Let’s start by answering our first question.

How is hair transplantation in women?

Hair transplantation for women is done in two different ways.

1-Window Opening

The roots to be taken appear in the donor area and only the hair in that area is shaved. The donor area is anesthetized with local anesthesia. They are separated from the tissues one by one with a device called micro motor. Afterwards, the roots separated from the tissue are removed from their places with collection forceps. Afterwards, the roots taken are transplanted with the DHI or Sapphire method.

2-Shaved

After all the hair of the patient is shortened to 3mm in length, the donor area is anesthetized with local anesthesia. In the Fue method, individual grafts are separated from the tissue with a device called a micro motor. It is collected with picking forceps similar to tweezers. The area to be planted is anesthetized and the roots taken with the preferred (DHI or Sapphire) technique are transplanted. At the last stage, the donor area is closed by dressing.

With these methods, hair transplantation can also be performed for women.

Another question we will answer is what is unshaven hair transplantation?

What is Unshaven Hair Transplantation?

As in standard hair transplantation, the popular method known as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is used in unshaven hair transplantation. In this method, the roots taken from the nape area with millimetric special equipment are transferred to the area where the planting will be done by DHI technique. The biggest difference of the unshaven DHI method from the standard method is that the patient can return to his daily life earlier by performing the procedure without the need to completely shave his head.

Finally, we will talk about the post-hair transplant process.
